Routing Slips  

Open Dental is designed for use in a paperless office, but there are still some offices that do not yet have computers in the operatories. For those offices, it can be helpful to print a rounting slip for each patient at the beginning of the day. Each routing slip would follow the patient back to the operatory, where the dentist or assistant could make notes on it. It would then be used by the front desk after the appointment to enter treatment performed, and to schedule the next appointment.

In the Main Menu, click Reports | Routing Slip.

This will let you print routing slips for all appointments for one day. If you later need to print an additional routing slip for just one appointment, then in the Appointments module, right click on the appointment, and select Routing Slip. The screenshot below shows what a typical routing slip might look like.
