Sites 

From the Main Menu, select Lists | Sites:

Sites are used in Public Health and by mobile clinics to track gradeschools, nursing homes, etc.  Sites should not be used to track fixed location dental offices.  For this, use Clinics instead.   Clinics and sites can both be used together.  For example, if you have multiple mobile units, each mobile unit would be a clinic, and each location where they park to provide treatment would be a Site.

Sites can be assigned to Patients and to Procedures. The site assigned to the patient will be automatically assigned to all procedures completed by that patient.  But changing the site for the patient will only affect future procedures, not history.

Sites can be used to filter results in the Patient Select, Unscheduled Appointments, Planned Appointment Tracker, and Recall List based on the Site assigned to the patient.

The site can be set to show in the main title bar of Open Dental.  This option is set in the Misc Setup window.

The site table replaces the earlier school table, most noteably in the patient.GradeSchool field, which is now patient.SiteNum and is an int foreign key rather than a text field.
